Pay Equity and Financial Transparency

Our Pay Equity Standards

Flying Leap practices pay equity for all artists and administrators. We define pay equity as:

  • Meeting/exceeding the W.A.G.E. guidelines (https://wageforwork.com/). Flying Leap is at the >$100,000 operating budget level.

  • Meeting/exceeding comparable union/guild contract rates when available. We check AEA, SDC, the Teaching Artists Guild, and others as applicable

  • Paying at minimum a living wage for each worker’s area based on the MIT living wage calculator. (https://livingwage.mit.edu/) Updated annually on Jan 1 each year.

  • Base pay for all workers is never less than $15/hour.

Financial Transparency

We practice Open Book Management; relevant budgets are made available to employees, contractors, and partners for review at any time.
