About Flying Leap

Flying Leap Productions is a non-profit family theater company making inclusive, participatory, site-specific performances focused on complex themes. We collaborate with artists and audiences to devise and bring performances to community spaces, fostering dialogue and connection. With an emphasis on accessibility and joy, Flying Leap Productions aims to empower families to engage in challenging conversations. Flying Leap’s international artists are currently working in New York, Arizona, and Mexico. Our work has reached more than 500 families across 4 countries, creating meaningful theatrical experiences that help families cross boundaries between them.

Role Description

This is a remote contract role for a bilingual Digital Content Creator at Flying Leap Productions. The Content Creator will be responsible for: 

  • Developing engaging static content from templates and video content (examples below) in English and Spanish for social media campaigns across platforms (Meta, LinkedIn), including gathering content from company members and sourcing from existing media. 

  • Write compelling post copy in brand voice

  • Managing cross-platform content calendar

  • Scheduling social media posts and monitoring DMs

  • Developing newsletters and email drip campaigns in MailChimp

  • Writing and posting short blog posts in Squarespace

  • Populating a monthly report with metrics from each platform

Qualifications

We are seeking a kind, motivated, independent digital native who is ready to work in a growing, collaborative non-profit environment. 

Must have qualifications include:

  • English/Spanish speaker with experience in bilingual content creation

  • Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, and Content Creation skills

  • Strong writing skills (social media copy, email, blog posts)

  • Basic video editing skills

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Canva, Squarespace, Mailchimp, Buffer

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote setting

Nice to have qualifications:

  • Experience in theater/performing arts

  • Adobe Premiere

Nuts and Bolts

  • Compensation will be between $15–$26/h based on the living wage in the candidate’s area.

  • This role is a 1099 independent contractor role, with renewable 6-month contracts.

  • Commitment is approximately 5 hours per week, with the potential to increase at key moments of the year.

  • The role is fully remote, and the schedule is flexible, but requires a commitment to regular weekly and monthly calls during ET working hours.

  • Projected start date: April 1, 2025

Projected Hiring Timeline

  • Feb 24–Mar 7 — Applicants submit a cover letter and resume 

  • Mar 10–14 — Selected candidates will attend an initial interview (over Zoom)

  • Mar 17–21 — Final interviews (over Zoom) and skills exercise

  • Mar 24 — Final offer out

  • Apr 1 — Start date
